Now comes the real deal!! It was the wedding reception that we all have been preparing ourselves for..eveything was in place..everything rehearsed..checked and re-checked..
I was down at the dining hall at 6pm to make sure everything is STILL in its place..Guests started coming despite the rain..thank GOD we had umbrellas and a covered foyer area for guest to drive in and drop their passengers..
The bridesmaids chipped in to help Miza at the guest arrival reception desk..it was made easy since we handled the RSVP and we made copies of the list of guests RSVP-ed for the event..
Dato' Hasan brought in reinforcements for the VVIP RSVP listing thus making the arrival of VVIP guest very very smooth..
Sharp at 8.15pm MC Rafidah of 3R made the announcement for the guests to take their seats..
First came the kompang by the Rumah Ilham boys...then the montage (A re-make of Puteri Gunung Ledang's starting video title)...Nisa came in at ther cue scattering the flower petals as she makes her way to the stage..the ASMARADANA dancers made their may right after Nisa..
Then came in the bridesmaid..on cue...then the Groom with his best man..then followed by the 3 PROMUDA "hulubalangs"..and last but not hte least..the bride...on a specially made TANDU being carried by 4 hunky guards..
Then as the Bride and Groom arrives on stage, Chief Inspector Makhtar delivered a beautiful marhaban recital..I personally was in awe since I was standing next to him..
After the marhaban ended, there was an opening dance performance by our traditional dancers and and a DOA recital followed suit...
Once the Bride & Groom was seated back at the main table,I was 50% relieved...it was not over yet..I was still running around with my walkie-talkie glued to my ears making sure everything is in order..
All in all..it was a great wedding..the best I ever experienced.. CONGRATULATIONS Adita & Hasli..may ALLAH bless your marriage forever..

ADITA JOHARA & HASLI HASSAN's LUNCH RECEPTION @ PERMATA,BANGI

Client was Adita Johara Bt. Mat Husin & Hasli Bin Dato' Hasan..it was their wedding reception and my company did the backdrop,pelamin,table setting and also event execution..
Preparation was was back 4 months ago and finaly the day came..my team..Rita,Miza,Boy aka Shahril Hafidz & Epie aka Hafizi was the greatest team to be working with coz these guys made it possible..
First we had the original spot lights removed and then spray painted the remaining bracket white (coz it was still black) and the laid the foundation which was a 2" x 3" thick piece of wood as the foundation. Then Rita & Miza went to work fixing the backdrop drapes which turn out so beautifully I myself didnt imagine it would be that gorgeous..made me feel I undercharged my client..he he..
Then it was the light pillars..we had 4 installed although initial plan was to have 6 altogether..but due to space constraint,we cut it to only 4.
Then came in the wooden dividers..which made things all different since it was an antique piece..
Epie had the camera and he didnt have time to take pictures during the opening scene which was made to the music of ASMARADANA complete with dancers and all..PLUS a tandu..on which Adita was sitting and being carried in by 4 hunky guards..
3 PROMUDA guys volunteered to be the HULUBALANG and stood in front of the Bride during the BRIDAL MARCH..
All in all..it was a great wedding..the best I ever experienced..

SAMPOERNA's LEGENDA ROCK UNPLUGGED CONCERT @ MPS FIELD,SEREMBAN

It was the third concert by SAMPOERNA and the event was managed by BnBC Sdn Bhd..sound system & staging was by SES..it was held at the municipal filed of Seremban or Padang MPS..
We had a good crowd considering the roads surrounding the field was congested during the concert..

CHARITY FUNDRAISING DINNER @ KL HILTON

Agent was UNIVERSAL MUSIC (M)..I was sponsored by Frankfort Promotions as the DJ for that night..
It was a charity fundraiser dinner for Rumah Kanak Kanak Ampang..
The honorary VIP was among others HRH Sultan of Selangor..
We danced till about 1 am..WITH THE SULTAN!!!

It was the second concert by SAMPOERNA held at the Mahkota Army Camp in Kluang,JB.Event company was BnBC Sdn Bhd, sound system & staging was by SES and as usual, I was the MC..
We had a different artiste line-up coz we had Azharina as well apart from the usual line-up..
Didnt take much pictures during the concert coz I was busy enjoying myself..

SAMPOERNA's LEGENDA ROCK UNPLUGGED CONCERT @ IPOH

Agent was BnBC Events and I was the MC for this particular concert. It was a rock concert with various rock legends such as Joe-WINGS..Yantzen-RUSTYBLADE..Bandi-AMUK..Asheed, Nas, Jemboo & Eddie from DEF GAB C..Ali & Yan from XPDC..Edrie from CROMOK..Lily & Shah from SLAM..Lola from SEARCH & Mus from MAY..
We all got on the bus in Ampang on Saturday morning at 10am before leaving North. We made a few stops along the highway and bumped into Shamsul Ghau Ghau in Ladang Bikam lay-by rest area..we chatted for a while.
We arrived at the venue around 3pm and headed straight for the stage for sound-check.Everyone had their bit of soundcheck while I headed back to the hotel to freshen up.I got back at the stadium around 7pm to warm myself up before the concert starts..
It was held at the Ipoh Stadium on Saturday night and the crowd started crashing in from 7.45 pm onwards..I started out backstage making announcements & teasing the crowd with the help of the camera focusing on the crowd and we started the show at 9.15pm sharp!!
It was a collaboration of rock legends and everyone had a piece of every artiste featured..1st set was ASHEED singing a medley of Ibukota Cinta/Cinta Sakti/Marilah Maria, then Ampunkan Aku & Merah.Jamming for him was Nas on drums, Lily on bass, Edrie on guitar & Jemboo on lead guitar.
2nd set saw Lola on drums, Lily on Bass, Shah on guitar, Joe on lead & Yantzen of RUSTYBLADE singing Tamingsari/Ikrar Perwira, Tiada Lagi Aku & Insan. 3rd set was Ali of XPDC singing Sakinah, Teman/Semangat Yang Hilang & Apa Nak Di Kata accompanied by Lola, Yan, Shah & Joe.
The crowd was obedient enough till the following set-Bandi of AMUK..he sang Akar Dan Bumi/Dikir Timur, Aku Mahu Pulang & Joget Tari Melayu..his set was awesome coz he had Nas(Def Gab C) on drums, Eddie(Def Gab C) on Bass, Edrie (CROMOK) on Guitar & Jemboo (Def Gab C) on lead guitar.
5th set saw old-timer Mus of MAY sang for the thirsty crowd Biru Mata Hitamku, Sketsa Sebuah Cinta/Cinta Mu Mekar/Sinar & Blues Ular Sawa accompanied by Lola, Yan, Shah & Joe.
As for the finale, ALL the artiste came back up,strut their instruments and gave a 1 minute silent prayer to the TSUNAMI victims & belted out a song dedicated for the TSUNAMI victims..
Concert ended at 11.45pm with everyone satisfied with the entire concert plus..no chaos happened during..in all,the concert was great coz I,myself had so much fun..
Watch out for other venues as well...

PROJEK TEKAD @ TEKALI CAMP

It was a project managed by PROMUDA team..CHAFZ ENTERPRISE supplied the sound system for the second time and this time it is held at TEKALI TEAMBUILDING CAMP at Sg. Tekali,behind Batu 11 area in Cheras..
It is a Project where students are gathered and given motivation during the weekend project..

TIENS Closing Ceremony @ Putrajaya Lake Club

It was a great day for flying & Amin (BLIMP INC & the crew) flew the 30-foot blimp for the closing ceremony of TIENS Convention. The agent was a unanimous agent and I helped Amin bring the equipment from his hangar to Putrajaya. We were there since 7am and the blimp,as usual..attracted a lot of crowd.WHY?? Coz it was able to land by their side..he he
