KMB ' 08 - DAY 1 f - SARAWAK CULTURAL VILLAGE TOUR

KMB Day 1 - Sarawak Cultural Village..
Sekitar jam 2.30 petang, para peserta telah berkonvoi ke Sarawak Cultural Village di daerah Santubong.
Setibanya di Sarawak Cultural Village, para peserta telah diraikan dengan jamuan minum dan makanan ringan sebelum menikmati persembahan kebudayaan pada jam 4 petang. Selesai persembahan, Saudara Azri telah sudi menjadi “tourist guide” dan berjalan bersama-sama mengelilingi perkampungan budaya ini serta menerangkan pelbagai aspek dan keunikan di Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) ini.
Sebenarnya, SCV ini perlu dilawati selewat-lewatnya pada jam 1.00 tengahari untuk para pelancong berpeluang memasuki pelbagai rumah panjang serta menyertai pelbagai aktiviti sebelum menikmati acara kebudayaan. Memandangkan kami hanya sampai di SCV pada jam 3.30 petang, kami terlepas peluang untuk memasuki rumah-rumah tersebut. Walaubagaimanapun, para peserta amat berpuas hati dengan acara yang telah dilawati.

KMB 2008 - Day 1 - We arrived in Kuching as scheduled and was greeted by Azri of VABB (who is also one off KMB participants)..he had arranged transportation for us all back to his house..Mantap also came by to greet us who is also another participant from Sarawak..

KMB '08 - OFFICIAL BIKE LOADING EVENT

We rode our bikes to TRANSMILE Cargo at Subang airport today to prepare our bikes for shipment to Kuching. Among all the quotes we received, MAS Cargo was the lowest and to our amazement & surprise, the MAS Cargo crews were very helpful, skillfull and also very experienced.

KMB RECEIVES 3 NAZA BIKES

NAZA BIKES SDN BHD has graciously agreed to sponsor KMB 2008 with 3 units of Naza Bikes. 2 NAZA Blade 650 (1 unit naked & 1 unit Sport) plus a NAZA Cruise 650..
The event was held at NAZA Bikes Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam in a small but meaningful occasion. The symbolic hand over was officiated by Encik Zulkefly Abdul Manan, the Deputy General Manager of NAZA Bikes Sdn Bhd

MARSHALL COURSE @ MAKTAB TEKNIK PDRM, BAKRI, MUAR - DAY 3
|

Its Day 3 & our final day on our MARSHALL COURSE..we had our usual morning breakfast, then we rode to the training ground for our usual morning warm-ups and the usual morning briefing.
Today morning, we shall be doing the trainings yesterday in a combination form. Yesterday we learned the Slalom, the Zig Zag formation, slow riding & the emergency braking procedure. Today, we shall be doing ALL that in a combination style manner.
After we all had done our combination riding, we break for lunch and rode out to Bkt Kepong in a convoy. During the convoy to Bkt Kepong, we all had our chance to be Marshalls and supervised by the PDRM escorts..
At Bkt Kepong, we learned abt the struggle and the despair the locals went thru during the communist attack back in the 50's. We even had a moment of silence and gave prayer to the souls that had perished during the struggle. we even saw the flood line the station endured in 2006..close to 15feet of water.
After the half an hour tour of the original Bkt Kepong police station, we convoyed back to the camp for tea and the official closing ceremony.
